Earned a doctoral degree at Uppsala Univ. in 1992 with the dissertation ”Angiographic Methods for the Study of Fluid Mechanical Factors in Atherogenesis”.
Earlier research focused on radiological quantification of atherosclerosis and the relationship between atherosclerosis and fluid mechanics.
