Exchange of doctoral students

In the plans for the Network is included a programme for exchange of doctoral students during the three years. Grants are available for one week's visit in another Nordic or Baltic country. The doctoral student can apply for 6 000 SEK to cover travels and accomodation.

Applications for the spring of 2010 can be sent by e-mail to Lennart Nordenfelt before May 1, 2010.

Information to be sent for evaluation:
A CV for the doctoral student together with the name and telephone number of the supervisor and a short description of the purpose of the visit.

Three applications were received and they all received funding from the network.
Viva Combs Thorsen, Oslo, participation in a Ph.D. course in Gotland, Sweden. Enhancing access to human resources for material and neonatal survival. Arranged jointly by Columbia University, New York and Karolinska Institute, Stockholm.
Lisa Guntram, Linköping, participation in a Ph.D. course in Tromsø. Narrative analysis and theory. Arranged jointly by University of Oslo and University of Tromsø.
Martin Berzell, Linköping, to study the work with terminologies within medical informatics at Sundhetsstyrelsen, Copenhagen.
